Back to Las Vegas!!

We worried the weather was never going to get warm up north so we headed to Las Vegas to find some warmth!! Boy did we find it!! It was about 110 degrees each day we were there. Thank goodness we had the Grensing's Pool to cool down in. We used it a lot. And little did we know...

Mylee would be such a fish!!
She kept her life jacket on and would just jump right in to us!! She didn't even care when it flipped her to her back. She would just float around for a bit. Then she would yell "MOM" or "HELP ME"! Ally worked on her dive and made major improvements!!

The main reason we went to Vegas was for Dallon to do the UNLV Basketball camp!! He did awesome! And learned a lot!
We also got to see the Incredible Hulk Movie in a private "booth". It had about 12 seats, your own control of lights and sound. There was a big piece of glass between you and the theater so now one could hear or see us. It is the PERFECT way to watch a movie with little ones!!
Mylee and Tryce enjoyed cooling down in the fountains at the famous Town Square!! It was a great trip to Vegas! Thanks for the fun time Grensing family!!

Crazy Days of Summer....

For me Summer officially starts on Memorial Day weekend--I only wish the school system felt the same way! But we start our summer celebration that weekend! So we have kept busy since then. Here is what we have been up to....Cousins and Friends beating the heat with Popsicles!

I went to Vegas with the Ladies...

Yummy Cupcakes!!
Gotta love Vegas...we went from Mt. Rushmore to...
the Eiffel Tower!!

But best of all I finally got to see Phantom! I thought it was great! It takes me back to my choir days!!

A new Addition to the back yard!!

Kevin worked for 16 hours to get this put together!

(with a little help from Papa and our friend Jason)
It has provided great entertainment for the kids. Mylee and Ally love to swing, Ally and Dallon do plenty of climbing, and it even worked as a great hiding spot for Dallon's air soft battle with his friends. Now we just need to get new sand and a cement barrier.

Fun at Lagoon!!

Mylee's one and only ride!

You can see how much Ally looks up to and Loves Aubrey and Gentry!

Oh, Papa convinced her to ride the carousel, but not get on an animal, they had to sit on the bench with him holding her the whole time.

Dallon, Ally and Mylee had lots of fun at Lagoon with the Grensings, Papa, GiGi and Brie! Tryce was a brave boy! Mylee on the other hand was very scared! I couldn't even get her to ride a little boat with Ally.

More to come....

Locks of Love

Because of this....

We had to do this...

About three weeks ago I had to take Ally to school 45 minutes late because it took me so long to comb through her hair. After lots and lots of snarls and millions of tears, we decided to cut Ally's long locks!
Her braids were 11 inches long!! Ally has decided to donate her hair to Locks of Love!! It is a nonprofit organization that makes wigs, from the hair donated, for children who have cancer or hair loss.

Ally's new hair cut is very cute and bouncy!! And we can actually comb through it now!!

Oh I wish I were and Oscar Mayer Wiener!!!

My friend Lori has a cousin who drives the Wiener Mobile for Oscar Mayer!! So my kids got to go for a ride in it!! Dallon and Ally thought it was a pretty awesome experience!

We found out some interesting things about the famous HOT DOG....

*you must have a Bachelors Degree to drive it.

*you can only have the job for one year because there is a waiting list to drive it.

*you get to travel all over the United States, staying in hotels, all expenses paid, plus earn a pretty hefty salary.

*they go to lots of Wal-mart Grand Openings!

*the horn on the Large Hot Dog plays the Oscar Mayer Song!

A Special Day

Ally was Baptized on May 3rd, 2008 By her Dad!
It was a really special day for Ally. She wore the same jump suit I wore when I got baptized. My grandma made it for me and my mom has held on to it. I was so grateful she kept it. It looked darling on Ally. It was a touching program and I know Ally felt the spirit. She was grateful to be baptized and especially receive the Holy Ghost. She was so happy to have her Dad baptize her. I am her primary teacher this year. It has been fun teaching her the lessons to prepare for baptism. I am amazed she is eight--shouldn't she still be a baby!?!?!?! But Ally thinks being eight is really great. She missed her Grandpa and Grandma Yeager being at her baptism because they are on their mission in England, but she has been reading the scriptures they gave her. She is excited to have her own set. She also loves the scripture stickers from Gigi and Papa. We are all grateful for all of our family who attended Ally's baptism. It was fun to celebrate with everyone. Thanks for all your wonderful gifts for Ally. She loves every one of them.

Take Me Out to The Ball Game.....

Dallon has started his first official season playing baseball for the city league he is on the A's--and very proud! He is so excited to have his last name on his jersey!! He feels like it is really official!! He has played four games so far and has about nine more to go! I love going to his games. They last 2 hours but the time goes by so fast!! It is very entertaining and Fun! Dallon has been playing 2nd and 3rd bases and a little right field. He has great coaches that like him a lot. He is in the younger half of the boys since it is 5th and 6th grades. Next year he will be able to stay on the same team!

Coming soon... Ally's Baptism...Keep watching!
